Lost in Translation challenge completed!

Rules: Read six books in translation over the course of the year.
Timeframe: 1 January – 31 December 2009

A big thank you to Frances for introducing me to the wonderful world of books in translation.

It is through this wonderful site that I discovered Embers by Sandor Marai and Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson – I loved them both. It was also this challenge that inspired me to begin blogging. I somehow stumbled across it and from there many wonderful book blogs.

Nearly a third of the books I read in 2009 were in translation. When I looked through the list below I realised that many of my favourite reads are on it. The list is very European based and for 2010 I would like to branch out and try some authors from non European countries as well.
